  • CIA Headers reduced price

Was browsing today and came across the clear image automotive web site and saw in big bold letters on the front page that they have reduced the price of their 3.8 headers. New price is $375 for ceramic coated satin finish headers and $130 for the Y-pipe. Thats $505 for a complete set for the slow mathematicions here ;) . Haven't read much outside of the lounge, drivetrain, and nitrous sections in a while, so I'm not sure if this has been announced or not... Just a heads up for everyone in the header market. That's some pretty big news... what were they before? $650 with or without y-pipe?

I guess theyve wisened up to some competition?

Too bad it says 98+ :( . Anyone know what it would take to get them to fit 96-97? Removal of the AC is my guess :(

When I was shopping for my 96, I was told that they will fit on earlier 3.8s but MAY require a little push of the AC lines. From what I understand, it's nothing a rubber mallet can't fix. ;)

There is at least one person on the board here that put them on a 96 or 97 with NO problems.

                thats a sweet heads up...

between their OLD price, and the "wait" for pacesetters, i felt like someone was twisting my arm into buying the rksport headers.

a quich ? on the headers though, clear image mentioned that they dont come with header gaskets. could you use the old gaskets, or would you just have to use new oem gaskets??

Aren't the primaries on RK Sport headers a little larger than the CIAs?
