Was browsing today and came across the clear image automotive web site and saw in big bold letters on the front page that they have reduced the price of their 3.8 headers. New price is $375 for ceramic coated satin finish headers and $130 for the Y-pipe. Thats $505 for a complete set for the slow mathematicions here ;) . Haven't read much outside of the lounge, drivetrain, and nitrous sections in a while, so I'm not sure if this has been announced or not... Just a heads up for everyone in the header market. Too bad it says 98+ :( . Anyone know what it would take to get them to fit 96-97? Removal of the AC is my guess :(2001 Firehawk #155 of 504 -M6
437 RWHP / 404 RWTQ -Dynojet (heads/cam)
12.34 @114 mph 1.7 60\' (bolt-ons only)
12.47 @116 mph 2.0 60\' (street tires, heads/cam)

When I was shopping for my 96, I was told that they will fit on earlier 3.8s but MAY require a little push of the AC lines. From what I understand, it's nothing a rubber mallet can't fix. ;)
There is at least one person on the board here that put them on a 96 or 97 with NO problems.-Travis
99 Trans Am, Pewter, A4 Forged, stalled, and cammed
85 Buick Regal WH1 T-Type It\'d be cool if it ran...
94 Camaro 3.4, Teal, M5 The daily beater

thats a sweet heads up...
between their OLD price, and the "wait" for pacesetters, i felt like someone was twisting my arm into buying the rksport headers.
a quich ? on the headers though, clear image mentioned that they dont come with header gaskets. could you use the old gaskets, or would you just have to use new oem gaskets??later,
alan
1999 bright red v6
3800 series III
208\\210 comp cam
3000 stall edge tc
