i just replaced my stock muffler with a cherry bomb glasspack..and hollowed out my cat. it's a 2.8 and it sounds AWESOME! :-D and no it doesn't have a ricer fart pipe sound, it actually has a nice deep roar with lopey sound at idle, seriously sounds like a cammed v8

Welcome to the board! We do have an exhaust section for things like this, but I'm sure someone will move it for you.

Any sound clips? I think most people don't like the sound of glass packs.

I hope this is a joke......if not, no hard feelings or anything. I think.

it does. it's awesome i love glass packs and i said it only has the cammed v8 sound at idle. i dunno, maybe it sounds like a cammed v6, i never heard one of them.. it just has that cammed sound, that loping "womp-womp-womp-womp". it's really cool it's definitely not something i regret doing.. and by the way, this IS the exhaust section, is it not?

by the way, thanks Dojo2000 for the welcome, i appreciate it! :D as for everyone else, i'd get sound clips to prove it, but don't know of any way to do it. how does everyone else do it? what do you use to record it?

for the time being and for legality purposes (until i get my exhaust system installed tomorrow), i'm running a cherry bomb straight off the S pipe. My catalytic converter clogged up, so they replaced it. I think some of the catalyzer got into the muffler, because it sounds like there's powder or something in there.
either way...
it doesn't sound bad at all until you get it above 3000 rpm. then it's horrible. but for cruising it isn't bad. it's just pretty much a resonated open pipe.

Ok i think i exagerated to some point.
today i was driving and it's not really sounding like a cammed engine any more, perhaps i was just exited and it sounded like it at first, but it doesn't sound cammed anymore. not sure why it did yesturday, it really did have a loping sound to it.
but anyway, it does still have a deep, loud *** rumble at idle, and an extremely loud roar when driving, at all rpm's as well, i might add. the only bad thing is, when i'm driving, it's so loud and low in tone, it gives me a fuggin headache  my radio won't even drown out the deep bassy roar of it, but i'll get used to it eventually. other than that, i think it's great, it does sound like one hell of a powerful car in any case.. i wish i had something to record it with it's definitely the best $15 i've ever spent lol. and thanks for the welcomes!
