First off, I just registered and this board is bad *** . Okay anyway, my 96 camaro is stock to the bone and I wanna put a new exhaust system. I think I'm going to go with the flows just because it's affordable and sounds great. I was just wondering how the interior noise is with it. I do a lot of freeway driving and I wanna know if I should get some brown bread (www.b-quiet.com) and line my trunk with it. I have a lot of road noise as it is.
Awesome...my mind is set. I was quoted $300 today for the muffler tips and labor, but I know that's horse pucky and it should be aroudn $150 or so. Anyone from SoCal recomend a place?
My buddies got em on his 3.8 camaro and it sounds great in and outside. welcome to the board

Yea I was going to ask about the full cat...how much does that usually go for and can it be done piecemeal? I'd like to get the muffler ASAP because I'm sick of the stock sound.
Overall F-bodies aren't known for being particularly quiet in terms of road noise. So on that point alone I plan on running dynamat (or equivalent) underneath the entire carpet firewall to sailpanel. It will also help to make the stereo more clear, and the drone of a flowmaster 40 more faint.
Personally, I could care less, it doesn't bother me at all. But sitting in the backseat you can't hear the conversation up front.
Right now, my gear whine is so bad I hear that over my exhaust. So the exhaust drone is a moot point. Now that I am getting the gears fixed, all I should hear is the exaust and it will probably sound weak from what I've gotten use to.
<b>15.41</b> @ 89.80 & 15.45 @ <b>91.64</b>, 2.21 60ft, 3,440 raceweight, using <b>OEM</b> Equipment. <br />\'98 L67/M49 w/ 134,000 miles before spun bearing. \"<i>It\'s all stock, Baby</i>!\"
I think Brown Bread from www.b-quiet.com seems to be the most logical. It's about 1/3 the cost and it's supposed to better (probably is the same, but it's way cheaper). I also hear that it's a lot more pliable than dynomate so you can get all up in your crevises and what not.
hey Bliggida, gear whine??? have your differential fluid changed, that helped mine out a lot

So I was cheking out the american thunder. I couldn't find one for a 96 3.8 (only 98-02), so do I need to get it for the 95-97 LT1 w/ dual cat, or do I need to get something else?
