Or, sell your POS CAI and get a SLP CAI, and then tell us if you still feel the same.

You are the first person ever to suggest the CAI causes our cars to run hotter. Do you actually think you have stumbled onto something that the ~6600 other members of the board has missed regarding CAI?
There is no particular reason to resort to ad hominems. No one else in the thread did. They simply stated they disagreed with you. The dumb****s comment was uncalled for.SLP CAI, K&N, Whisper Lid, 180* thermo, manual fan switch, 3.42 gears, Auburn Pro LSD, Wester\'s PCM Tuning, TSP Rumbler, High Flow Cat. cars cools down wehn you stop and cut them off for a few minutes. that can easily cause 5-6 degree drop. you need to check radiator fluid, possibly flush it before you give up on cai. i seriously doubt that the cai is causing the rise in temp.Mods List:FREE ram air mod,FREE air lid smoothing mod,Air silencer removal,K&N Filter,Magna Flow Exhaust. cat delete, 3.42 + lsd.2600 stall tc,alto red eagle complete tranny rebuild.

My car was signifigantly faster with the Free ram air mod vs the SLP CAI. Ran repeatedly against my friends IROC on the freeway. The SLP is just a restrition.
As far as the SLP keeping the air cooler, go ahead and grab that thing after driving around for awhile. ITS METAL. Plastic is far superior if you insist on blocking off your radiator. Less heat soak.Turbocharged and intercooled.
17psi(oops), stock fuel pump, no FMU
http://www.cardomain.com/id/phoenix64
Video: ftp://ftp.pfabrication.com Assorted car ****: TurboCamaroFull.

My car runs perfect. I had to flush the coolant when I did the cam. There is nothing wrong with the thermo. Its like 2 weeks old, and a 8 degree difference when I pull the CAI scoop out and another difference when I put it back in it runs 8 degree's + or -. Thats not a Thermo problem.
If you want to ride in my car I'll be happy to put it in and pull it out to show you. And it stays at a steady temp. both times. It will be at a steady 212-213 with it in and a good 205 with it out.2001 V6 Camaro - VTEC Badged, Abbott Racing Heads Sticker, and Loud A$$ Exhaust

BUILT NOT BOUGHT

14.0 @ 96.44 MPH (Street Tires, Before Tranny)

http://members.cardomain.com/6pakcamaro54

So would everyone agree that the slp cai is a good mod so long as it doesn't include the Austin add-on mod? This way the air is colder than stock~while the radiator blockage is as minimal as possible...??????????????????????????????????????? ??????????????????????????? Just try'n 2 reach a compromised solution.

The SLP CAI is a good mod without a doubt. Opening up your intake just supports most other mods you will/can do.
This is the only post I have seen that suggests it blocks the air flow to the radiator. You can put it on without worries. You will be happy with it.SLP CAI, K&N, Whisper Lid, 180* thermo, manual fan switch, 3.42 gears, Auburn Pro LSD, Wester\'s PCM Tuning, TSP Rumbler, High Flow Cat. Best Time: 9.909@71.58 (1/8 mile)
