Hey guys, I hardly ever post in this section, but now I think its time for a new exhaust system. What are my options for cat-backs for the 3.4? What would you guys suggest? So far all I have is SLP CAI and 160* thermo.

Although I love my dynomax, my friend has a 3.4 w/ a flomaster cat back and I gotta admit it sounded pretty good, he just got pacesetter headers and now it sounds REALLY good!

Depends on what you are looking for. Most mandrel bent catbacks are going to give similar gains for the v6, so it comes down to what kind of sound you are looking for (and how many heads you wanna turn ). For the 3.4, i can say from experience, the Loudmouth is awesome, but i'm biased :D

cat-back: $320
adapter for v6: $65
From:
http://www.ammperformance.com/V6Main.htm

I would also get a 3" HF cat at the same time for increased performance, sound and easier install. Catco ~$50-$90 depending on where you get it.

Did some searches. Everyone seems to have mixed feeling on that it sounds good or like a "pissed off weed wacker". Does anyone have a sound clip of it on a 3.4? I really need some sound clips to hear. Or, post sound clips of ANY full cat-back system.

Probably won't have any clips till next month when i get home from school.

Also, make sure you get input from people w/ the 3.4 as i've heard it sounds quite different. From my experience though, the only way to know what an exhaust system sounds like is to hear it in person. Search dynomax or flowmaster or any other exhaust... 1/2 love it, 1/2 hate it. I know i did and drove myself crazy, until finally i just bought one.

I may be able to get some clips this weekend, but don't hold your breath, i've gotta get a wire for my video camera still. :D

I wonder if anyone has tried that... i would guess pretty bad distortion, esp. w/ a loudmouth.
