It's mostly personal preferance!! I removed mine as one of the finally steps when I installed and SLP cold air intake and Whisper lid in July of last year. A bit much at one time I know, it had the fluctuation in the RPM as with most other peoples symptoms. I had a hughe gain of coarse with the mods, it broke traction, on a dry road, at about 20 mph when I punched it!!!!!! Never done that before. I also had a Random Tech. hi-flow cat installed along with the Jet Stage II module this past May. Still going strong, no malfuctions, codes and oddly enough the fluctuation is gone? I'm satisfied with the gains and am more than happy to recomend the same setup I have, but there is a disclosure to this, not to beat a dead horse with a telephone pole or anything, when you Mod your car you're taking a risk of voiding the warrenty and the hughe risk of harming your ride. Try it for a day or two!
Chris

Bye the way I'm totally new to this and haven't set anything up for my profile,
Whisper Lid, SLP cold air, Removed MAF, Jet Stg II, Hi-Flo Cat and 80 series Flowmaster

I forgot, remember to reset your computer after you do it. Just disco the negative lead from the Batt. for about 5 min., then hook it back up. Chris.

I'm having my car dynoed this saturday, granted that freaking tropical storm doesn't nail Tampa.

I get 3 pulls, so I'll do one pull with the MAF screen, and I'll do two pulls with out the MAF screen and post the results. Two pulls w/o MAF screen so the computer has a slim chance to re-learn the marginal airflow difference.
