Anyone do this mod? Results(sound)(power)? Fabrications? Anyone do this themselves...Not have it installed at a muffler/exhaust shop...?

Uh, not enough to notice a loss of power on low end but you will have a gain on top end(of power) The backpressure debate is really up in the air, and to me if there is any loss it is isn't noticeable. It is just a big hype I think :D97 Red Firebird
Best N/A 1/4: 13.98
Best N/A MPH: 96.13
Best Nitrous 1/4: 12.49
Best Nitrous MPH: 108.53
2001 Pewter Camaro SS
GTP Stage II Heads, Pig Cam, Holley Intake, SLP Headers, SLP Lid, Vigalante 3600 Stall Converter, MagnaFlow Cat Back Exhaust, Duel Electric Cut-Outs
11.26@121

you guys are not understanding... YES you
will free up backpressure which equals= MORE HP
More efficent engine. You may have slightly less
torque on the low end but it will just move
it up in the powerband a bit. that is not very extreme move 2.75 pipe and 3" cat is cool.
Get rid of the s pipe bend after the cat.

I'm going with the 3" cat in the future too. My question is does the length of the cat affect performance and/or sound? I know catcos are only 50 bucks but they're a bit smaller than the factory cat.
