one thing you have to take into account is what it sounds like inside your car and out. my car sounds sick on the outside but has a bad noise on the inside. i have yet to hear it up top from the outside though

Will headers give it that deep sound I'm looking for or will I just have to get a cam?
Yes,,, Headers will open up your exhaust significantly. It will sound stopped up with out them. Pace Setter or RKSport makes 3.8L headers I believe. I just bought some Pace Setter ceramic coated and and they are fantastic quality. Maybe you should invest in headers and Powertech chip. Makes a world of a difference!

GIVE YOUR flows time to burn in. At first they sound pretty crappy but just wait a year or so. It gets better from there on out..deeper etc.

          http://www.geocities.com/timmackman1...haustClips.mpg

copy and paste into URL.. but first couple seconds is from outside of the car, then the rest is inside.. first acceleration is around 3k-4k rmp, then 2nd acceleration is punching it from 30mph. would put it as video but would be too big to host on my site

thats what it would sound like so you decide on it you'd like it or not.
That sounds damn NICE!!! Especially for a V6!...I need to get those headers!... any other exhaust / headers you would recomend? </font>
What series are you running on the flows?

I really don't think so at all. I always hear this and sratch my head. I have heard many 3.4's w/exhaust here in cali and I like the sound of my car ('97 3.8) better. I have the 80 series Flowmaster...which has been on for about 3 years now.

Well in all honesty you can't hardly judge sound clips on the internet as they tend to be a lot different in person...

I have personally compared side by side the idle sound of my V6 (Flowmaster) to that of my uncle's stock Vette and my car DOES sound better (in idle). But it is downhill from there once the rpms start going up ...V8 owns it.
