  • Pipes coming out of muffler (can i buy em somewhere?)

I wanted to get rid of my 3.5inch magnaflow tips (i dont like them on my car) but the tips are like 18 inches long with the hanger welded to each one (and 2 on the drivers side). Is there a place i can buy 2.5 inch pipe which already has the hangers welded to it so all I have to do is change the tips (and hook slide them into the rubber hangers already on the car?

I want to put on a pair of smoked chrome tips from texas speed that came with my rumbler i had.

I hope u understand my question.

Wow, you go through parts on your exhaust system like a box of Depends at a Senior Citizen's home!

Anyhow, no, the 2.5" tips you want will most likely have to get the hangars welded on for proper fitment. As for the old 3.5" tips...ever use a reciprocating saw?? ;)

You will need a 3.5"-to-a-2.5" reducer to make the tips fit properly. They can be clamped, but I recommend welding them.

your magnaflow tail pipes may need to re replaced at muffler shop. bring in your smoked tips and they will weld those on to the new tail tipes.

the mangnaflow muffler you have has 2.5" outs. the magnaflow tail pipes are
      1) proprietary
      2) conical in shape...you will not be cutting that tip portion and welding.
      3) as above, you will need new tail pipes fabed up/ made. if you do not check first to find the right shop they will most likely be non mandrel bent. very few basic muffler shops have a mandrel bender.

Off hand....not sure...but if those magnaflow tail pipes come out of the muffler and make their 90 degree bend towards the REAR of car before starting that long custom polished tip....that is where you will want to have them cut and some plain old straight 2.5" pipes welded on and then the new tips...after the 90 if possible...better flow because those are mandrel bends.

I think I confused you hockeyman... LOL I have magnaflow tips on there which are 18 inches long and are 3.5 inch round... if i could only cut them off and extend it then possibly weld the hangers on there then i could put on my smoked rumbler tips. I was just wondering if i could buy any pipe that already had a hanger on it.

Grayman... thats what I was thinking- just cutting the magnaflow tips off, then extending the pipe and adding the hangers in the proper spot then lastly, add the tips.

Yep, try and keep those mandrel bends that you already payed magnaflow for. I am sure there is enough 2.5 pipe there after they each bend 90 toward rear of car to cut off the long polished ends. np.

I have an extra one I would like to sell if you're interested...
I know what you mean about the magnaflow pipes, because I have a full magnaflow cat-back I'm installing this spring. The tips are basically a part of the muffler.
