• New headers and Flowmaster

Hi guys,,,This is my first post. I just wanted to say my first mods are exhaust headers from Pace Setter and dual exhaust from Flowmaster. Will I see significant power gains with a complete exhaust system and a Powertech chip?

    See you around.

Complete exhaust will give u 10-15 or so at the rear wheels depending on what you get. However, exhaust isnt much without an intake system. As far as the chip goes, im not sure, but it will be a noticeable gain, i know that much.

also i dont think the chip will do much. all chips are good for is removing the speed limiter and changing the fuel you use. worthles in my opinion

i have never considered a chip(hypertech) to be a power adder. the only thing performance wise its good for is firming up the shifting. as for the rest. hummmmm......maybe 20-25 fly

On a 87 tuned car if you get it tuned for 91 you have more room for HP/tq increase, esp. with forced induction.

I've seen dyno sheets on LT1/LT4 where a reprogramming of the computer gave 19hp/24ft/lbs.

Anyone here dynoed right after a tune?

and a v8 will dyno with an extra 25hp after exhaust work but you will never get close to that with a v6. changing from 87 to 91 without the need for it will not give you hp gain :D

pacesetter headers are doing good as far as i know right now. but like anything else, there might be some snags along the way when installing. i would suggest them right now.
