carsound cat help

hey guys i am about to order a carsound cat . i want it to be 3" in/out but dont know what part number to get and order one.

94009 as a basic cat, or 94039 if you want one with an O2 bung in it.

I got 94009. It should work fine for you. Are you having a shop install it, or are you doing it yourself?

94009 got mine of ebay, search for Performance Peddler, i think i paid like 60 bucks or under.

since my car is a 2000 is it wise to get the carsound cat with the 02 or not and have the o2 thing installed?

If you're having a shop do it, just get it without the 02 bung - they can pop your 02 sensor in their themselves, they have the right tools for the job.

If you're installing the cat yourself, you'll want to get the one with the 02 bung so that you can put the 02 sensor in there yourself.

It depends on the shop. Some don't have bungs, and some won't fool with trying to place the stock one in new pipe.

The real question is whether or not they can place the O2 sensor in the correct place to prevent a code. "grayman" posted recently about installing a 94039 cat on his 2001, and so far doesn't have a code. Maybe he should chime in.

I bought the 94009, had a shop install it about 300 miles ago.

Still no codes.

Yes, a good shop is key.
