I got fel-pros on right now, and yea im sure they are causing the leak i have, so i bought the pacesetter ones, but for the install is there anything special i need to do. Like is there anything that i have put on the gaskets to install them other than just put them in place and tighten the bolts?

I've used 2 sets of paper gaskets (one for inital install, and 1 during heads/cam swap) and I didn't do anything special to them. Open the package and install them.Matt

I also heard about soaking the pacesetter gaskets in water also, what is the point of doing that? and does it really help out? I put ultra copper sealent on my pacestter gaskets, but my drivers side just started leaking again, so im wondering if i should soak them this time?Comment

pathogen coverd my pacesetter gaskets in petroleum jelly (vaseline). They have absolutly no problems, so I'd do that again. I forget what she said about it, cuz I thought it was strange, but there really is a good reasoning as to why she put it on them.Comment

I just put mine on without doing anything to them. No problems here.
