I want to replace my factory muffler for a better one. I am not interested in something very noisy (like those hondas that make more noise than performance). I prefer the deep sound of a Z28. The advertising of the Hookers Aerochamber mufflers says they have what I am looking for. Also they say having a 30 percent more performance that most leading brands. I need your opinion guys, Is that true?, or What's the muflers that delivers more hp?

you'd be better off just getting a full exhaust system. Most of the power and noise comes from the intermediate pipe that leads from your cat to the muffler/resonator and then to the back of the car. It would prolly sound pretty ****ty if all you bought was a muffler and welded it up to the stock I-pipe. If you dont wanna spend all the extra money and buy a full exhaust off the net, just go to meinike and they'll custom make your exhaust with whatever muffler you want for around $300.2000 Camaro, Pewter Metallic, M5 tranny, 3.23 gears, Hard Top,

Modifications:
SLP loudmouth (dual/dual tips)
MSD 8.5mm wires
K&N airfilter
SS hood (don\'t buy from fiberglassfabricators.com!!!)
Spec stage 2 clutch

You aren't going to get a z28 sound unless you swap in a 346cid. I wouldn't bother with just a muffler, get a catback or don't do it at all. One of the quietest exhaust's is probaly the dynomax superturbo.2005 Cavalier LS Sport M5
http://members.cardomain.com/firefighter8615

If your looking for performance but not to loud try the borla pro xs 40474 I had a local shop mandrel bend me 3" from the cat back to the muffler and then dual 2 1/2 tips I got the muffler on ebay for 109 and a local shop to do the rest for 175 it is not real lound but sounds really great I actually have turned down the radio for the last 2 weeks just so I can listen to the sound of the exhaust the muffler has no back pressure for sure when it came in the mail I was worred that it would be too loud because you could look right throught to the other side but I have driven past several police officers and not one has even looked over at it think about it you wont be dissapointed!
