Well it's kinda off-topic but, whats the diffrence between stock headers and Pacesetter headers?? they both end in a 3" Y-pipe is it the primaries??

The most basic difference is simple: Pacesetters are headers, stockers aren't.

i don't think headers were worth it on my car. i had nothing but problems since putting them on. took about 2 weeks and 3 different exhaust shops to seal off the y-pipe. it's still rubbing and i need to take it back to try and get it fixed. for the minimal gain, it wasn't worth it to me. to top it off, the car isn't any louder! :mad:

Long tube headers create more velocity than short tubes.

Tell me where to get long tube headers for a 98+ V6, I have been waiting a long time for these!! Pacesetter, RKSport, and CIA are all shorty to maybe at a stretch mid-length.

unless you reduce the back pressure the heeaders will do a bit of evening out,maybe smoother is my guess

rk sports are mid length I believe (longer tubes than pacesetter and CIA at least)

I experienced lots of problems with too much flow as in, I had the stock manifolds and the exhaust freed up and lost ~1/2 (VERIFIED IN SEVERAL OCCASIONS) in the 1/4 and definite sit of pants feel.

You can't have to much flow. You can have low exhaust gas velocity which you may have mistaken for "to much flow".

I know people say backpressure is a myth but I disagree on 3.4L and 3.8Ls...

A decrease in backpressure always results in increased horsepower. It is just less force the engine has to overcome to push the exhaust gases out of the cylinder with the piston.

Don't confuse low backpressure (causes an increase in HP) with low exhaust velocity (can cause a decrease in HP).
