i want to cut out my cat. converter and i was told that it will cause my engine light to come on is there a way to fix that or not cause it to come on?

Yes. The cat restricts the exhaust system quite a bit. Depending on what mods I would expect a 5-10 horse increase. Your low end torque may suffer a small fraction due to decreased backpressure but I wouldn't worry about it.<a href=\"http://www.onid.orst.edu/~waltejam/\" target=\"_blank\">98 Bright Red Camaro</a><br />Too many mods to list....check my websiteComment

um....YES....enough to make 3rd gear in the automatic become rather powerful. I walked my friend's 3.8 last night in 3rd like it was nothing and the cat is our only difference! :D
