I have a slight dilemma...I was planning on getting the RKSport ceramic headers, but then i saw the Pacesetters which are much cheaper. I know the old saying "You get what you pay for", but the RKSport headers leak. how does their almost $500 price tag fit with that saying? the Pacesetters are less than half that price. Anyone have any suggestions?

I love my pacesetters....haven't had a single problem except that I needed to add washers to the y-pipe to header flange bolts because they were too long. I was one of the first to have them and they are still doing great.98 Bright Red Camaro
Too many mods to list....check my website

My experence with Pacesetter headers:
- Y-Pipe did not fit, spent $120 getting it remade to fit. (this is supposedly fixed now?)
- Headers still rub the steering linkage
- Headers leaked where they met the Y-Pipe... had to buy Grade 8 bolts and washers because the bolts supplied would not allow room to seal correctly.

Just got the Pacesetters on this week, no problems so far, no leaks and so on. All my fitment problems are on the 01 SLP SS takeoff I got. I guess the LS1 dosen't quite match up to the mighty 3800II
I've heard really bad things about the flanges on th RK's and I like the Pacesetter construction.
Hope this helps. Any questions, PM me.Chris
98 Firebird T-Top
3.8L
Whisper Lid W/ K&N
Pacesetter Headers, Ceramic
Catco 3\" in/out cat
TSP Rumbler Catback
TransGo Shift Kit
JET Corvette Servo
All KYB AGX Shocks/Struts
3.42 Gears, POSI Traction

do they leak like the RK's do, or do they have a tight fit?\'98 Camaro - SOLD
Best E/T: 15.489 @ 86.48 MPH
60\': 2.131
members.cardomain.com/skorpion317
1998 Saturn SL2
Official NJ Disturbance bracket racer

I have had the Pacesetter Headers for a few months. No leaks, the install was a snap, and it runs and sounds great! They don't leak....they have ball and joint flanges and if the bolts are too long you can just use washers. Sometimes they rub on the steering linkage but that can be easily fixed if you aren't all pissed off about everything like Hawgs is. I like the sound better now and notice that it accelerates a lot better in the upper RPMs.98 Bright Red Camaro
Too many mods to list....check my website

I just have leak in my EGR.. thats only problem.. dont know how to fix it but heres sound clip.
Yea heres sound clip of my exhaust: Pacesetter headers ceramic coated, y-pipe, 3"in/out hi-flow cat, 2.75" flowmaster catback.
http://www.geocities.com/timmackman1...haustClips.mpg
copy and paste into URL.. but first couple seconds is from outside of the car, then the rest is inside.. first acceleration is around 3k-4k rmp, then 2nd acceleration is punching it from 30mph. would put it as video but would be too big to host on my site99\' W68 Firebird
SLP Ram air kit,Whisper Air Lid, k&n, 8mm Taylor Wires, Bridgestone Potenzas RE950, BMR Red LCAs, Pacesetter Headers and 3\"in catalytic converter with 2.75\" Flowmaster Cat-back

http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/501008

I just junked the EGR and used a small freeze plug in the header port :D Finished the exhaust install after having pacesetters on for a week or so and fixing some other problems on the car, but overall pleased with the quality. As everyone says, I went and bought 3" bolts rather than the 3 1/2 that come with the kit, and I was surprised that no washers came with the other header bolts. Other than that and the mighty steering linkage rub, no problems with the pacesetters. Seriously thought, I think these are all problems that pacesetter should fix by now.\'98 Camaro V6
Appearance... pleasing
Performance... just a little extra air.
