i need to replace my POS cat. i called summit to order one of the catcos, but they said they didn't make one for the 2000+. so i then called catco and they told me the same thing. i figure it must be one of the universal cats that i need. can anyone tell me which part # i need? i have stock pipes. thanks everyone.
CTO-6006 or
CTO-6007 ?????
couldn't you just get a catco and have it custom fitted or something? i had a guy in Atl put in my old Firebird's Flowmaster setup for only 60, i'm sure you could just get someone like that to just put a new cat on a 2k, just a matter of fitting it... right?
99 WS6
13.25@104.97 - Lid + soon to be more other stock items ;D

well if that's all it takes then i could do that, but i've done the search, and i've seen some people with the 2.5" and then others have the 3.0" cat. so which one should i purchase for stock pipes?
you need a universal catco with 3" inlet and 2.25" outlet w/out the AIR thing. plain and simple. i dont know the part number cause i bought a 3" in/out for my upgraded exhaust.
here's an update on the converter that i bought. got it from summitracing. model # CTO-6907
at first i thought it was either model # CTO-6006 or CTO-6007. but those have air tubes and i didn't need a converter with an air tube. the CTO-6907 does not have an air tube, it does have 3" in and out pipes. cost around 70 bucks total and 37 for the install.
