I've been corresponding for a while with Michael Nunn, my Regional Sales Manager for Pacesetter. I have voiced my/our concerns as a V6 community about the V6 headers they are producing. I mainly pointed out the poor sealing at the ball joint flanges, as well as the desire for a longtube. No good news on the longtube yet:( BUT....There are changes that will be happening on the flanges.
"Good Morning Matt,
On the Chevy/Pontiac V-6 header change at the ball joint end, we are looking at a plate similar to the 70-2255 headers. This should make it almost leak-proof. I don't have a time frame yet. With any change to production, there is a series of things that have to take place before a part-production change can take place"
The 70-2255 is the LS1 part number, and it slips each piece over the next, and has virtually no chance to leak! So although no ETA, I just wanted all of you to know Pacesetter and Texas Speed are working to make better parts for your performance needs!
