I believe the passanger rear hanger is different on the v8's.... Atleast that is the case between my 99 v6 and my former 01 TA.

go to Advance and pick up the Z-28/ TA style exhaust hanger. Its only like $4.00 and 2 bolts to swap your hanger with the new one. more adjustability in it. less rattles.

Yours likely just needs some more adjusting done to it. All the catbacks are basically setup the same, and need to be adjusted. Before I'll tighten any band clamps or others, I make sure someone is holding the catback up in the optimal position (the entire catback, not just one little section), and only then do I start tightening. This works pretty well.
