• Crushbent??

I called up my muffler guy again. He said he can't get me mandrel pipe from him, all he has is crushbent. He said if I got a 3in crushbent, the bending would prob limmit it down to 2.5in of flow. Do you think this is true? I orginaly wanted 2.5in pipes because of the horror stories i've heard about how much low end power it takes away. But if what he says is true, and allso applies to the 2.5in pipe, the bending would limmit me back down to the stock 2in of flow. Whats everybodys 2 cents?

this is what i have also been told crush bend usally reduces the pipes diameter at the bent by at least 20 % go with 2.75 crush bent at the minimum i would go 3'' tho

Why can't you get mandrel bent? If there are any large muffler places in your town like Midas or such, they should be able to help you. The crush bent would probably not be as much gain as a mandrel 2.5 even if you went with a 3 inch anyway.

Most places ONLY do crush bending since mandrel benders are HUGE and expensive as hell. Since you're in Chicago though there's gotta be someone around there who can do mandrel bending ;)

You probably won't notice a performance hit running crush bent 3" at all... it will still flow very well, just try to minimize the bends
