• Flowmaster Exhaust

I am planning on putting a new exhaust on my 02 Camaro. I want to go with a flowmaster cat-back but not sure. Where is a trustworthy site that sells them for my kind of Camaro for not to much of price.
I found this site http://www.onestopexhaust.com/detail.cfm?menu_id=9541 which has one for my Camaro but im not sure. Anyone have pictures of it installed?

And also is this sound clip on a v6? http://www.racenetone.com/sound/FLOWMAS1.WAV Is this what mine will sound like if i get it?
Thanks!

That flowmaster clip sounds like something on a LS1 or an LT1. Not a v6. Try using the search feature too. Many people have posted this on the message board before.

dude...the american thunder cat back w/ and 80 series delta flow.
i have it on mine. you have to keep after it w/ a can of flat grey high temp rustoleum BBQ paint though..or the welds will rust.
it's a noticable driving difference. the car almost sounds like a V8 at really low rpms...
at idle, it puts out a really low bass sound (hellacool if you are in a garage)i like it alot better than the stock sound, and alot better than the really tin can sound most other systems have that don't have the resinator/filter/primary muffler right after the cat. plus the dual pollished stainless steel tips look sweet too. well, that's my 2 sense
mods:
-under hood ram air hood mod.
-cat back Flowmaster American Thunder exhaust system (exact kit designed for our cars)
-Sylvania Silverstar Headlamp conversion (home job...but came out awesome)
-interior under dash neons

3800 Series 2 engine. 3800 Series 1 engine was put in older buick and chevy cars, series 2 is the newer 3.8 put in 95 and later GM cars.

the 3800 series II is the name of the engine in the mid 95+ 3.8L v6 firebirds and camaros
not sure about why it's II though...

Yes, you have the 3800 II. Unless you've had a previous swap...or a special V6 edition that we don't know about...that would be cool.

That sound clip you provided is an LS1 but the 3.8 does not sound that far from it. I have a Ravin muffler on my car which sounds pretty close to a flowmaster 80series. Go here then click on Ravin1 to hear my car when it is cold and then click on Ravin2 to hear it when it is warmed up. The reason why the 3800 is a series 2 is because this is the 2nd gen from the orginal 3800. Biggest differnce being heads and injection system.

Thanks :D I think everyone answered your question though ahead of me lol. Thats some strange protectant on your engine bay!! Also you need to rip off that stock auto shifter and install a T-handle off a firebird, much more comfortable :D Nice ground FX as well...

We have a LOT of exhaust options. One of the issues with our cars is the stock cat goes from 3" inlet to 2.25" outlet, and then 2.25" all the way back. For max performance you need a minimum of 2.5" all the way back but most people just run 3" all the way back and replace the cat in the process.

Goodluck.
