Would buying a K&N cone filter and fitting it directly over the end of the throttle body be a good idea for an "intake" setup? as is right now i have the Free ram air mod, raised airbox, and removed air silencer. would the filter on the TB free up a few more HP or would it not even make a difference? I'd heard about someone doing this before, but i wanted to hear peoples opinions on it.

Since yours is a 2000+ V6, you can use the K&N AirCharger. It's basically a cone filter on the TB just a better design. More than twice the surface area of the factory air lid. It's a pain to install but I finally got mine in. It really makes a noticable difference and seems to be of high quality. It's design seems to avoid the problem a cone on the TB would have of sucking in hot engine bay air.

http://www.kandn.com/images/l/57-3022.jpg </font>[/QUOTE]Yes, that's what I have, the AirCharger. The pictured one you linked to is actually for the LS1 but very similar. Only difference is the tube connecting the filter to the TB. I love mine.
