• Which setup should i go with for my longtubes for my 3.8?

I have longtubes for my 3.8. I am debating on which style of setup to go with. I will either run a 2.5" y pipe into a 3" exhaust setup, or a 2.5" y pipe into a 2" x pipe into 2" pipeing into 2.5" borla bullets cause they dont make the borla in 2" and then into 2" pipe the rest of the way back, now my question is, should i use cat converters or just use straight pipe, would i gain any et running just pipe in place of any cats or would i gain in et running cats? I will try a few runs at the track with the true duals dumping before the axle then after the axle and see which is best. I would like to hear some creative responses, yes or no on using cats or should i just run straight pipe rather than using any cats, which would be better in the 1/4? thanks

I only know of one person with longtubes for the 3.8! :D

Anyways My opionion for what its worth!

I think going 2.5" into full 3" would be your best bet. I think it will sound good and give you great gains.

As far as the other setup I have no idea on how it would sound no one has done it that I know of! I don't think the gains over the system mentioned above would be worth the extra hassle!

2.5" into 3"
Second setup maybe better sound and mimimal gains over the 1st setup!

All I have to say is post pics. I would like to see what they look like. I'm guessing they are custome made. Who made them, how much did it cost.... just curious. I already have headers but I just wanted to see what other options are out there since there really aren't any. If you do have longtubes cool.

I would also love to see what they look like. Also did you have them custom made or did you get it from some place?

They are custom made i have to do some modifying of my own on the drivers side, im still in the process of that, when i finish i will have pics, at first i thought i would have very bad restriction on drivers header but this guy who builds exhausts for race cars is helping me out with my headers i will have pics later
