Exhaust/Oil smell

First of all, I didnt know whether this was suppose to be placed in General Tech or Intake/Exhaust.
I had a friend of mine that was following me the other day and said he smelt burning oil coming from my car. I just got out of it this morning and smelt something too. Not sure if it was oil or a leak in my exhaust. Is this something that normally happens? Is it something I could spot? What can I do about it? Thanks in advance.

Check the exhuast right where it runs under the oil pan, I betcha it has oil on it.
Rear main/Oil Pan gasket.
