Hey guys, I finally got my exhaust put on yesterday after so many months of research. After a lot of debating and comparing, I decided to go with the Flowmaster 80 series and it sounds pretty nice. I had the 80 exhaust along with a 2 3/4 I-pipe with my fast toys quad tips.
So far (after just one day), top end pulls harder and faster. Haven't noticed any loss at lowend, or if there is I don't feel it. The sound is nice...start-up is the best and idle sounds good too. I'm still getting used to the sound of driving around though. It does not sound like a import (tiny tin can sound or high pitched whiny "WWwwweeeee" sound). Just for kicks, I revved it in neutral in my garage and I didn't get that raspy noise until almost 4 1/2 k...and it didn't sound like a chainsaw either.
Again, its just after one day so I'm sure it will get deeper over time. Personally, startup and idle sounds mean already...I'm still getting used to it after having the stock crap exhaust for so long. Overall, paired with the SLP CAI, the car feels a lot better.
