• Reworking my exhaust, need opinions...

Currently I'm running a LM after a stock cat, y-pipe, and stock tubular manifolds. For the most part I love my exhaust sound but it could be toned down just a tad for when the ladies want a ride, and THEY ALWAYS DO!!

So I'm thinking maybe put a Dynomax 18" superturbo bullet in place of my SLP resonator to quiet her down a bit and tame the 4k+ rpm chainsaw effect that I have currently.

Now I know the LM is pretty much the most free flowing cat-back you can buy for our cars and a bullet muffler would actually hurt the flow a little, so... why not add a cutout? I know most guys put the cutout somewhere on the I-pipe, I say screw that I want the most free flowing cutout ever! Especially since in the not-so-distant future I'll be buying one of FFF's Turbo kits.

While I'm at it I figured I'd go ahead and get a Carsound 3" in/out high flow cat and go ahead and get a 3" s-pipe to go along with it.

So to sum it all up this is my current plan.
Stock tubies --> stock y-pipe --> 3" flowtech cutout --> 3" in/out carsound cat --> 3" custom s-pipe --> 3" Dyno Mouth with 18" bullet

Sound good? Any suggestions are welcome, I think this gives me lots of options though I can go from crazy cutout loud and have almost no backpressure for when I go FI, or I could cap the cutout and have a decently loud but not obnoxious Dyno Mouth to cruise around in with the ladies.

the bullet muffler wont hurt flow any, the one on the TSP rumbler is straight through, the inside is 3" ID just like the tubing.....either way your car would probably run the same just sound different...

So no need for a cutout as long as I get a high flow cat? Interesting...
