Removed air silencers and added 3 inch PVC piece. Man, the exhaust sounds a lot better, especially on high rpms! Also I noticed a very slight increase in power, chirping 1-st to 2-nd is effortless.. before I couldn't do it (might also be due to the fact that it's cold outside).

    Do you have any pics?

That is something I need to do, but my lid is ovular, not sure if the 99-02s are the same

EDIT: BTW, my lid is from a 98

No I don't have any pics, but my lid is ovular too. There's rubber peice between the lid and air silencer assemly. Leave rubber parts on and simply attach 3 inch pvc piece. It's kinda hard to get it on, but it's doable, then tighten everything tight and nice and that's it. Basically, you're removing silencer assemly and replacing the empty space with 3 inch pvc piece, that's all there's to it. Make sure you buy new clamps, though, cuz old ones will not fit.

Also, is your TB angular or straight? Mine is straight, I donno about 98...

its an easy mod. instead of taking off the clamps on each side of the air silencer and pulling the silencer out and trying to stick the pvc pipe in at an angle and clamping it in. just take the entire thing off, air lid, hose, silencer, hose. it pulls off the throttle body. then when you have it all out take out the silencer and put the pvc in, then put it back on the car. i tried doing the hard way and the pvc pipe kept popping out from the hose since its at an angle. take the entire intake off and then reasemble it with the pvc
