exhaust for 99 firbird, 3800II

Hello all, new to the board, cool site!

I'm lookin' for the deepest growl i can get out of my 3800II. It's all stock, for the moment. I was checkin' out CIA headers, which ends up @ 3", into 3" bullet cat, but hav,nt decided on catback yet. I was checkin out Magnaflow, 2.5". Any good???? Maybe Flowmaster 40 series???? Any thoughts????

I'm also lookin' at pickin' up the Whisper Lid pkge/cold air induction system.

My bird sounds better than most that I've heard, but the price for Borla is more than most want to pay.

I'm buying the TSP Rumbler this weekend I believe. I've heard nothing but good reviews about how it sounds the best on the 3.8 compared to anything else in its price range.

Yep, Borla is just a tad out of reach$ How 'bout the Loudmouth? I want a good sound, but don't wanna dround out the tunes; AAAAAlpine all the way!
How soon are puttin' that TSP Rumbler on? Let me know how it sounds. I'm gettin' anxious to get this done. Ya'know, 'tis the season. Don't drive her in winter, so I wanna do this before I transfer insurance for the season. Where are you guys gettin' your stuff? LM Performance seems reasonable. Does it really matter if headers are coated or not? Does it raise engine temp. that much?

The day my insurance bill comes, is the day I hopefully order the rumbler. We switched companies because they charged me $960 for two months (I'm 17 with a 99 v6 bird...i mean c'mon). So we switched and this company said I will be under $2000 a year. So we are just waiting for the bill which should be here by tuesday of next week. I'll diffinitely let you know how it sounds and performs.

$2000/yr for insurance, I remember those days. Went down after turning 30, and after moving to a dffernet zip code. I have a winter car (93 Sunbird, 4 cyl, 4 door(inherited) Kind of embarrassing to drive, but saves my bird. So I switch insurace coverages, storage/daily driver, seasonally. Cheaper yet! Although, I suppose keeping maint. on 2 cars makes up for it.
I definitly do not want a ricey sound. Can't stand those foreign jobs, I can fart better than those sound.

well mine was $5760 with that other insurance company. I am hoping this company stays true to their $2000 quote. I can only hope for the best.

wow...y'all are all getting ripped off. I pay just under $1000 for a full year. I'm a 21 male with a V6 camaro.

I wanna hear more about the Rumbler too. Is it available in a catback package, w/tips?

The Loudmouth has me curious too.

Also, as I mentioned earlier, I'm lookin' at the Clear Image headers. I believe they end up @ 3". Is it wise to reduce to 2.5" before the cat, & use 2.5" cat (cheaper then 3" cat) Or reduce to 2.5" after the cat??? Cuz, ya' know, 2.5" catback is cheaper, & don't really need 3" all the way. Sorry for the 1,000 questiones, I just want to get all the right stuff, the first time.

Save your money and get coated pacesetters for like 275...can't beat that....CIA headers are way to much.
