Definatley get a highflow cat...make sure its 3inch out so you can put a 3inch s-pipe between it and the I-pipe...which will be 3inch if you get the 3inch catback. As for brand...just get something not to expensive...they all do the same thing...but make sure its 3inch out for the new s-pipe. Put headers on top of all that and you'll have a pretty mean exhaust. But dont forget to upgrade the intake also. A great exhaust wont be getting enough air to be great without a good intake.

Do you want a cat-back or just a muffler (for sound)? If you want a full cat-back for the money I'd get the SLP Loudmouth. It's plain nasty at idle, deep through about 3500rpms then just plain midievil from there on. It's not hollow or tin-can sounding like a flowmaster, but it does drone a lot inside the car, especially in the back seat where the resonator lies under the car. It is very very loud, and if you have jerk cops around you might get pulled over. If I had the money I'd have gotten the Borla but $300 compared to $600 is a no brainer. Both have similar performance and are stainless.

i got just the borla rear section. i love it. no rice sound, and ive had countless people tell me "is that just a 6? damn, that sounds good"

only thing i hate about the borla is the friggin size of the muffler. i just hate the way mufflers look though.

Flowmaster sales a kit from the cat back. Did mine myself on the floor of my garage. Cost abot $250 delivered to my front door. Ordered it from 21st Century out of Florida 1-800-276-6399.

Don't forget about the magnaflow exhaust system. I have the cat-back system and love it. It sounds so nice and deep. I have had many compliments on it sounding like a v8 almost. The price of it won't kill ya either

i'm gonna be adventurous and say this: glasspacks, hi flow cats, dumps=$350... you could probably even get a normal cat off someone on this board for like $20 and with your stock cat you could get it done for $150, loud, mean, no rasp at any RPM!
