• Dumped Exhaust?

Who all has it? are you happy? what kind of mufflers did you use? stock cats?

i've got a spare cat and i'm thinkin i'll get an exhaust shop to bolt it up on a 2.25" pipe alongside my other one, like true duals but with either bullets or glasspacks (cuz he said that's all that'll fit) and dump it out under the car.

should i go high-flow or will that be too loud?

I had that setup for a while. I got some tips welded on a few weeks ago and although it looks alot better, I miss the sound of mu dump pipe with the 40 Series. I'll be going back to that setup within a few weeks. Here are some pics. I removed my cat and had the 40 Series welded where the cat used to be. Then he welded in a dump pipe that fired down and out by the passenger rear floorboard. It sounded AWSOME! Out of the 7 different exhaust setups I've had, I like that the best.

thanks for the pics man... it looks like that setup would hit the ground, did you ever have any problems with that? and how much was that 40-series?

I have dragged it only one or two time over big speed bumps, but thats it. I got all of the welding done, the cat cut off, and a new 40 Series installed for $115.

Open I pipe SUCKED. I had the dump pipe but now I have the same 40 series muffler but he welded some pipe all the way out and added some nice chrome tips. My SES light somehow went out after he did that. Now I am going to keep the tips but going back to the dump pipe. The tips will be there just for looks. I decided on a cam setup. Don't think N2O is the way to go right now. Also getting that Edge 3000 T/C. I have a baby on the way as well
