Looking for a muffler that will sound very nice stock. I just want to give my Camaro a nicer sound than stock, I don't plan on doing too much modding in the future, and don't want to buy a catback, no matter how cost-effective, or how much some may recommend it. Who makes a muffler that will sound pretty nice just welded on to stock pipes?? Please someone help me.

Dynomax is the closest aftermarket muffler you will get to sound close to stock. Anything else is on the louder side. In terms of just the muffler it's self. You might want to consider a y87 or a z28 muffler with upgraded tips too.

oops, i phrased that poorly. I meant, I need it to be more agressive, and powerful than stock...without it sounding like crap. I want to achieve this without changing anything but the muffler however. The reason being, is I don't need the performance, just a sound more fitting to the car.1997 Camaro RS - Polo Green
Y87 Performance Package
80 Series Flowmaster
Homemade CAI
B&M Transpak Stage II

I honestly think youd be happy with just a flowmaster 80 series muffler. I've heard a few and they sound pretty nice for just the muffler. Others i've heard weren't too great. I have the flowmaster 3inch cat back, and it's way too loud for me. It sounds nice. Just a little too loud. Just the muffler would probably be pretty nice.
