My book shows 95-97 3800 engine as follows:

    Bank 1 HO2S 1 - Ex. Manifold Driver's side
    Bank 2 HO2S 1 - Ex. Manifold Passenger side

    Bank 1 HO2S 2 - Pre-Conveter

98+ is the same as 95-97, only without B1S2.

          B1S2 on the 98+ becomes the post-cat sensor. B1S3 is non-existant.

GM Service Manual calls it Sensor 3. 2 is non-existant in there.

              Also from the Service Manual:
"The Bank 1 HO2S 2 sensor produces an output signal which indicates the amount of oxygen present in the exhaust gas entering the three-way catalytic converter. Pardon me.... for "Autotap" purposes, B1S3 does not exist on V6 F-Bodies with only three O2 sensors. ;)
