  • muffler question

Ok , here's the delima. I have a 2002 6 cylinder with the Y87 package. My question is, is the stock Trans Am muffler the same as the Y87 package muffler? If it isn't, is it a better flowing unit? I am thinking of buying the "new take off" muffler from SLP. I remember when I had my 97 6 cylinder with the single outlet exhaust, I purchased one of these take off units and put it in place of my stock one. It made a nice throaty change to the exhaust and probably added a couple horses. If you know for sure, please reply. Thanks.

I'm fairly certain that it is the Same muffler you have on your car now, just has a larger opening.

A WS6 Muffler will be a better choice for you.
