ok, i recently put headers on my car, and the y collector pipe that connects to the driverside header runs too close to a cross frame in front of the oil pan (think its the steering), sometimes rattling, i already had it heated up, and bent. BUT heres the question, in order to fix the ticking that i beleive is coming from an air leak at the header/collector connection, can i cut out that piece of piping in front of the oil pan, weld in a new coupling on the header, and fill the missing link with flex piping? is flex piping legal to inspection, and does anyone have reviews on it???????? will it leak more by doing this???

I actually used it on my 76 Bonnie. Connected 1/2 way over teh axle & exited at teh bumper. Took all 6" of it too, no cutting. That stuff is a temp fix until you can get it done right.1978 Formula 461 in progress of being built
