  • Anyone noticed the new RKSport airbox lid???

I was checking out the site and looked under 2002 camaro 5.7 and there's a v-6 lid that I had never seen. I don't know if this is a mess up or not, but it has the offset intake tube. The lid is $80...alot cheaper than what I shelled out for my whisper lid. Does anyone know if that's a true LS1 lid or if it's for the 3.8?

      That is a v6 lid.

The LS1 lids have a center exit tube. The v6 lid is offset to the right like that one is.

That one has a shorter exit tube than the whisper lid. I wonder what the inside contours look like?

I wonder if it flows better than the whisper?

          Could be a wrong picture....
Could be listed under wrong car...

But, why is there that extra Dryer duct?

I was going to wait, but now with that price, I may buy that lid now. Anyone else have any input?

Like Bluebird said, that could be a wrong picture or listed under the wrong car. If it was up to me, I would probably stick to the whisper lid instead of that RKSport lid. There's probably a bigger performance gain and I'm not sure if I would trust that extra dryer duct. The lid doesn't look like it would extend all the way to the throttle body, so thats probably where the duct comes in. I think I trust the one piece whisper lid over that.
