if i were you id wait, dont do just the muffler. if you can do a whole cat back all at once its your best bet. you can get the whole flowmaster v6 exhuast for like 300/400 bucks, and it will sound alot better. i have heard just a flowmaster muff on a 3.4 and it sounded good down low but around 2500 it sounded horrible. if you get the cat back it will upgrade your all of your piping up to the cat. you even get tips with it.

if moneys tight and you must do it, get a glass pack. for 20 bucks it will sound the best for the least amount of money. glass packs sound good on 3.4 but they sound liek crap on 3.8's with stock piping.

I think I'll actually wait. I believe the cat back system your talking about is American Thunder? You say just a flowmaster muffler will sound bad at higher RPM's, so will a whole catback system sound good (well, you know...not bad) up top?

Thanks for the help and suggestions, by the way, everyone.

a higher than stock flowing muffler with you stock 2 1/4 piping wont sound that good. your right i am talking about the american thunder catback for the v6. it will give you 2 1/2 piping from the cat back. that will def help with the sound. that cat back also has a resonator in it.

you could also go with a high flow cat, that will help performance and sound.

theres also other catbacks to check out to like the slp loudmouth, or tsp rumbler. you can get the rumbler for 200 bucks.
