• Long Tube Headers >> ?

Does anybody know anything about any company or any shop who makes long tube headers for the 3800 Series II motor?
Cardinal said he knew of a company but then he didn't answer my replies, thanks Card
Anyways, does anybody at all have any info regarding this?

I believe that would be called a custom job and finding someone willing to fabricate them for cheap. I dont think anyone mass produces anything like that for our cars.

Lane (Jughead) (The guy who got kicked off the board by Stefan because of his unfortunate purchase escapade over at cz28) bought a set of tubular headers (long) and should have them installed by now.

I haven't had a chance to talk to him, and had he not been kicked off the board it would have seriously benefitted us to know the mfgr.

Cardinal-

There was ONE company that was considering doing the 3.8 longtubes, but decided not to last minute. Finish Line Performance was the name of the company, and the guy's name was Ed. I was the prototype car for the new exhaust when they cancelled the project. I was unaware that Jughead already had a set of longtubes....

Sandman-

Call FLP @ (630)820-9294 for more info, he might try to do them again if there is enough interest.

Also you can do a search on them, search for "3.8 Longtubes"

Lane has not been permanently banned. If you read my statement on the matterhere, I said he has been permanently de-moderated but not permanently banned. I said he would be allowed to post again once he paid Chris. I recieved an e-mail from Chris on Friday stating that he has recieved the check (he also posted about this on that topic) but I am now waiting to hear that the check went through alright. Once that is done he will be allowed back in. As I said.

Read my statement before you go off criticizing things you don't understand. It specifically says "and two other incidents". Do not criticize based on what you do not know, and do not try to make me look like the "bad guy" because I was looking out for our members. What was I supposed to do, ignore Chris and the others who will not be named in public and say "it's perfectly fine that our FOR SALE forum moderator is engaging in questionable business practices? There was more to this than what you saw.

Further discussion about this matter belongs either in that thread or in private e-mail. Any replies to this that are not on the subject of longtube headers will be deleted.

I'll give them a call as a last resort.
I also went to google and searched for that, only results found were four the 3.8 in a Ford Mustang, which does me no good :(

I'm on FLPs call list about those headers. If they ever actually go into production they're supposed to call me. No word yet. :(

Lane stated that they are indeed equal length longtube headers. He'll be installing them as soon as he get his "other" problems ironed out. ;) ... I've seen the tubes. It looks bada$$.

I've seen pics of it too. They were a one-off custom thing that he bought from some guy who was racing a 3800II proffessionally. The primaries are HUGE! I don't remember the exact size. I've got a guy here in Tampa that said he could make them for $1000. Not too bad of a price
