I was just wondering, what kind of legal alternatives there are for replacing the stock cat in a california car, as well as what kind of headers everyone would recommend. I have a slp cai to a port n polished tb, and an 80 series flowmaster...
what more can/should i do that wont cost me too much money?
well, no aftermarket cat will pass in california that i know of. as for headers, go old pacesetter headers which will get you passed in inspection with the inspection crap they give you
well, i stand corrected about the cat. as for the headers, pacesetter gives you a "card" allowing you to give to the inspection guy which allows you to be passed.
One of my old customers who was in northholly wood moved to palmdale, so i went to palmdale he hooked me up, it might have been a magnaflow high flow cat, but i cant remember, and as far as the pacesetters, what "card"? i got my 3 inch catback with cat all hooked up with 2 free big *** tips for about 500 i think it was, maybe less. im cutting off the tips tho since i lowered the car, scrapes.
