If it's a material like phenolic (sp) that will help block off heat from the TB it might show a small gain. free mod:
buy a new TB gasket. remove TB. clean TB coolant channel. fill with RTV silicone. let cure 24 hours.
install TB. hot coolant now has nowhere to go in the TB.
TB still makes contact with plenum so it is not the same as a 'spacer' but it is free.
not suggested for daily drivers in northern (cold) climates.Comment
