  • what flows better?

Im currently running 3 inch exhaust with just a flowmaster 80 series muffler.

Its extremely loud, and very free flowing. I have no cat. converter.

Im looking to either put a highflow cat on.. or a 14 inch bullet muffler of some brand.

what would flow better? what would sound better?

    any ideas? experiences?

dynomax bullet, dynomax bullet (i'd assume because it is basically straight through andless room inside), put it mid pipe, went in easy and like the sound.

All this was on my magnaflow though.

flowing better would be taking the blowmaster muffler off, they sound good, but flow terrible. put a highflow cat on.

well im looking to spend between 15 to 45 bucks. im not getting rid of the flowmaster. my exhaust is too free flowing with the headers and all..

I mean.. you can feel the gained power once you hit about 3500 rpms but i want that powerband to drop lower cause i dont floor it all that often. catch mah drift?

i'd think it flowed quite nicely since its so eff'n loud

restrict the flow to 2.5 or 2.75 inches somewhere. I know what you mean about the 3" powerband though.

Dmw, does the high flow cat really flow better than a nearly straight thru bullet? I figured the cat had more room to have the air circle around and slow. Not to mention the job of the cat.

it depends on your setup, some slow down the car, some speed it up. cats can go both ways.
