I have an Aerochamber muffler 3" in and with 2.5" tail pipes. I don't know if I should go for 3" piping from the cat or with 2.5". Is there much of a difference performance wise, sound? Also, would a hi-flow cat help? Is it worth it? Thanks in advance...

you have tubular manifolds on your 2000. that is a great start. you will enjoy having either catback. (2.5 or 3.0)
the fatter the exhaust the louder it will be.
if you wantto hook up your current muffler you will need a muffler shop. (custom piping)
If you want to do a full 3" conversion it is real straight forward.
here, check out these guides.

my car was faster with the full 3" system...but I am force feeding it as well.
