HEY GUYS. i have a z28 takeoff muffler and tips and i like it but i want more sound. im interested in the edelbrok catback. is this a performance gain worth 283 dollars? also where can i get some polished z tips as i lov emine? and where is the i-pipe located adn should i have a shop make one during install? also do i have to buy a v8 system or does the one for the v6 have 3 inch piping? thanks.

also will i save money if i buy headers and a high flow cat and what not and keep em all around and install all at once? lets say i get headers. dont i then need to buy a y pipe or can a shop make aperformance y-pipe? then they can pipe the high flow and the cat back in just like factory right? or will they like dump it before the axle or somehting?

RK Sport and Pacesetter come with Y-pipes. I think CIA sell both headers and Y-pipe but as two separate items.

Yes, it will save some hassle and cost to install everything together. Mine came out just like a factory setup, just much bigger. [img]smile.gif[/img]

The thing everyone should know before buying edelbrock is that the i-pipe doesn't get to 3" until just before the overaxle section. BUT, this is a very easy fix because the pipe is totally straight so all you or the shop will have to do is cut that small section off and weld in a 3" section. No bending or anything needed. (The i-pipe is the long straight pipe after the s-pipe that runs along the driveshaft.)
