Sounded sweet...

On my way back from getting gas this morning, I got to hear two firebirds with aftermarket exhausts, one stop light after another off the line. The first was a newer firebird with a dual out with big tips...it sounded OK but a little too raspy.

The second was a older 4th gen firebird, with a single out, smaller tip...it sounded REALLY GOOD. Can't say I've heard a more V8-ish sound.

I couldn't possibly tell if one or both had a catback or exact sizing, but most aftermarket exhausts I see are duals...which is the single out cuz it sounded great.

He might have just had a glass pac, many of your aftermarket exhaust companies do make a single outlet muffler though.

My flowmaster is a single out... sounds good too..
