I went to the cheapest exhaust shop in town and the guy wants $160 to put in a cat, a cutout, and 2.5" piping from the cat to the muffler. Thats a little too much for me to be spending. I have access to space and a tig welder, but i've only mig welded before and i hear the 2 are very different, and that tig welding is a lot harder. Does anyone have any tips if i'm going to do this. Also the pipe that starts after the cat and ends at the muffler. Where can i find a 2.5" one of them, everyones saying i gotta get one from GM. Or can I make one? It looks like a lot of bends.
