anyone have experience with rear sectional exhausts?
I am too cheep to do a cat back system so I have been looking at sectional exhausts, I looked at the RK sport one, it has quad tips and is $275.00, is that a good price for what you are geting? also it says it is made for 93-97 V6 F bodys, what is so different about the 98+?
3rd, can I just cut the old one off right before the muffiler or is there more then just that?

quad tips and rear section for 275?, i payed 230 for dual tips, and flowmaster and installation. so if its muffler and tips only, that might be a bit high. You can do it yourself if you know how to weld and bend metal
when it's technical it's always good to get a second respond tho

You gotta remember flowmasters are some of the cheapest mufflers. I paid $250 for Ravin muffler, 3" tips, and install. But I dont' know who makes the muffler in the RKSport system.
And yeah you should just have to cut off the old one at the inlet. If you do it yourself just make sure you know what size the inlet is on the new muffler and the size of the pipe coming from the cat. Hope this helps.

i just got my flowmaster 80series on this week and i had only the back sections put on. for the cost of the muffler, tips, and labor. the total was 189. it was pretty cheap compared to what most of you guys paid but it wasn't too far away.
