  • thinking about gettin rid of flowmaster

i am kinda disappointed at my current setup. i was wondering if anyone has experience with a hi flo cat and a ws6/ss v8 take off muffler. i wanna quiet it down and make it sound better/ less interior noise. any help would be great.

Yes my car has a take off ws6 muffler as well as hi-flow cat and 2.75" back. The sound is louder than you might expect but imho it sounds much better than the magnaflow i had before. Unfortunately, i don't have any sound clips but if i could describe the sound i think it is actually pretty close to sounding like my brothers stock supra in low RPMs. Down low it also sounds kinda like the stock 350z, a little more aggressive than these though. Up top the muffler is MUCH more quiet than the magnaflow but still has an interior hum on the highway. Hope this helps.

I am doing the exact same thing-- looking to get rid of my magnaflow and get a stock ws6 muffler/tips. I guess I will keep my high flow cat or maybe just get another cat cause i am using an 02 simulator and I am scared they will find its a sim when i get inspected in september. I hope they dont do a visual inspection cause I will just keep it then.

Anyways I wonder how it sounds at idle? Still pretty quiet?

The SLP ss take off/ ws6 take off along w/ high flow cat sounds pretty nice compared to many of the v6 cat backs out there

        I suggest it... for sound
