Take cat off... get a hammer and some long metal stick, Stick it in the CAT and start hammering away.

As for putitng a pipe in it... not sure. Guess you could try and just put one in it and secure it somehow.

But honestly not sure there is a good way to do it without some welding, then you need to find a shop that will illegally modify your CAT.

you put a pipe through the cat and weld the outside of the cat to the pipe to keep it in place. Then weld the pipe into the exhaust. I have had a gutted cat and a high flow and both set the SES light. I had more power with the gutted cat than the high flow but i also have a stock I-pipe, if you have an aftermarket catback you would probably be better off with a high flow cat so you dont lose all your low end torque.

I did it at my house for free. My friend welded it up for me real quick. Its real easy, even if you suck at welding you can get it done. He is a master welder though so it looked better than a factory weld. After that i got bens muffler on obt to put the cat in when he put my muffler in. He would probably put a hollow cat in for you though but im not sure. Hes an old black guy that has some intersting stories to tell.
