• how loud is a flowmaster 80 inside the car?

pretty simple question, just wanted to know how loud it is inside the car and if its loud enough to make anything rattle(optimistic but i doubt it lol)

actually most people say that it is to loud for their comfort. I think it's sounds perfect; loud enough to hear, but not annoy you. The sound will get deeper and louder as the muffler breaks in. If you have the music around half volume you won't even hear the exhaust (unless you flooring it.) Nothing in my car rattles from the exhaust. Getting the exhaust and chrome tips was one of the smartest things I did, well worth it ($80, plus instalation.)

The sound is definitely louder than most others out there. Interior resonance isn't that bad, and in my opinion, sounds really good. Its not an annoying droning sound that will piss you off after a month. As someone said, if you turn the radio on you will hardly even notice it. Do give the muffler time to burn in though, as it will sound better and better the more miles you put on it.

The sound is not bad at all. Now if you get on it it is LOUD. The sound is not annoying even on longer hiway trips.

The interior noise is fairly loud, nothing that causes rattles, but loud. Personally, I like it no matter how loud it is, it could never annoy me. You get used to it anyways, lol, at least I do. Plus I drive w/ the windows down, radio up, so the exhaust is just one more noise. Outside, idling it sounds nice and deep, WOT it gets LOUD.

Maybe it's just because the people at GM were on crack when they assembled my car, but my Flowmaster will cause a rattle in the back end while in that rpm range where it is said to have a "drone". It's a fast rattle so it sounds more like a buzzing. My car has a bunch of squeaks and rattles all throughout the car, so I could be an isolated case...

just put 80 series on my 3.4 , Never thought it waz possible to make a 6 cylinder sound so close to an 8. My neighbor has an lt1 with the same muffler as me and u cant tell the difference between mine and his. I love it. It definately turns people's heads!

Yep - am real happy with my Flowmaster 80. I just have the muffler right now and it sounds pretty decent, when I add some larger piping from the muffler back to the cat I think it might sound even better.'

Not too loud, but loud enough.
Some people say it gets ricey and I will have to agree with them sort of...the only time it was ricey was the first 2 days after it was put on...but as people often say, the more miles you put on it the deeper it gets. And mines getting deeper and deeper

Sound is good. I wouldn't recommend making long cruises with the backseats removed though. :D

Nope, not an isolated case really. On my 2000 it drones at 70-73mph, then starts to get quieter. At any rate, I don't get rattles at cruise, but I do when I am slowly accelerating in 4th gear. The stupid ash try rattles some time.
