I was thinking about running the intake through the lourves(sp) in my hood....sound like somthin to try? or scrap it?

I thought about making the stock hood louvers function as ram air, but the more I thought about it, I thought it'd be too much work... So, I didn't try. The hard part is getting the air from the scoops to the filter, which the only way I could think would be some sheet metal fabrication, and maybe some mods to the hood. Too much work... just by a ram air hood if you really want one.\'97 Camaro 3.8L -
It would take alot of metal fabricating because you would have to keep a solid flow for the incoming air to the front of the engine without any sharp turns. The louvers sit close to the middle of the engine and the intake is in a bad spot too. Just get a CAI, it's alot easier!sigpicComment
